Have you ever had a really bad day or experience where you said to yourself, "I wish I could go back and do that all over again and get it right this time?" Well maybe you can. My name is Nicholas Tanner and I'm going to tell you a story about Charles Roy Spencer. Roy was an ordinary kind of guy, with all the hopes and dreams that everybody has. I have told this story hundreds of times and no one ever believes it. Roy was destined for greatness even before he was born and I was designated to watch over him. I would try to help him with everything. I would whisper in his ear when there is an important thing he should do. I have to stay close to him and listen to him and all the people around him to warn him of trouble on the way. I also watch out for Lucy. Lucy is not good and he tries to ruin every one of my assignments. It's hard to predict what people will do, but that's part of my job too. I can usually predict Lucy, so I stay alert. I have known Roy for many years. I have followed him ever since he was born. We didn't actually meet until the day of his fiftieth birthday. I tried to set him on the right path, but Lucy kept interfering with everything I could do for him. Lucy is not good. Lucy also hates that name and sometimes when I get Lucy mad enough, Lucy disappears. I like that. Makes my work a lot easier. The worst part about this whole thing, is that Lucy can look like anyone. I really have to be on my toes.
