Absolute Authority Thirty-five years ago, in a dimly lit backroom of a Bagdad rug shop, Akeem alTakriti pitched a plan to destroy the United States to the Saudi Oil Sheik's Finance Minister. Billions of dollars have since flowed into the coffers of alTakriti and thousands of followers of this Islamic Militant have followed Middle Eastern refugees to the United States and Western Europe and immediately started a slow and patient process of changing the American and Western European way of life. With the financial support of the Militant Islamic Brotherhood, President Barry Osborn was elected and re-elected to the nation's highest political office. The Militant Islamic Brotherhood, who bought and paid for his election, insisted that he accelerate the destruction of the United States economy and force regulation to make the citizens dependent on the generosity of government welfare systems. There was one other thing they insisted on; to disarm the American people so make their final takeover easier. President Barry Osborn lost the faith of the American people shortly after he was elected and he no longer had control over congress to do his bidding. He lost the majority both houses of congress and, more importantly, the support of his handlers. His ideals and desire to transform the United States of America to a passive, introverted, socialist nation came in conflict with the way of the Militant Islamic Brotherhood's demands. "We can't take another chance with Barry; for his incompetence he has to go and the sooner the better," Akeem alTakriti tells Monika Osborn, the President's wife. While the Militant Islamic Brotherhood plots to replace President Osborn with their choice of leader, Osborn creates a plot of his own. With the assistance of his personal advisor, Ali Salmasi and others, they plan to destroy most of the United States' ability to refine oil in the Gulf Region. His people to create such a disaster that he must declare Martial Law to save his legacy, and create his own "Absolute Authority."
