Everyday illnesses and very little money. Each member of the family tends to one another. Her adoring father sees the deterioration that poverty brings. He comes up with a scheme. And it involves Helen. We follow Helen as she navigates through her stormy world as her family and friends are subjected to the worlds abuses, in one form or another. And then, it finds her. And she is prepared.
