Denn Doyle is a seventeen-year-old who's been making it rich in Las Vegas playing Texas hold 'em. Talented for knowing how to read people, Denn has been upsetting some of the most notorious poker players in Vegas. Then Denn's luck runs out--at the same time he meets Cattie Hart, a card dealer who stacked the deck against him. He falls for Cattie hard, but he doesn't know that she works for Artie Kingston, who's out to get Denn at any cost. Artie's brand-new casino is hosting a winner-take-all tournament. Denn wants in, but he doesn't have the funds to play. It would be a chance to come back from his terrible losing streak, settle the score with Artie, and maybe even get the girl.
