The characters Pete and Angelo were pet's of Ted and Tony's that they bought after moving into their first apartment in Barneveld, New York. Ted admired the friendship that their parakeet and Dachshund had and decided the story was worthy of sharing. When Ted passed away Tony decided that publishing Ted's book was a fitting memorial to his best friends memory. The book reflects their own friendship and clearly illustrates how two very different personalities can form an everlasting bond.
