Bat Wing was published in 1921. A Spanish colonel and a dark secret make up the plot. Detective Paul Harvey and his trusted sidekick are brought in to solve the mystery, which includes voodoo rites, vampire bats, an Edgar Allen Poe-esque writer, and other bizarre developments.
