When she is not writing historic romances, playing boogie-woogie and classical piano, and hiking in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, you will find her curled up with a cup of hot cocoa, writing and reading poetry, or writing her blog, Girl/Cat/Typewriter. This, her first collection of poems, written while she lived in New Zealand, has a strong focus on the images and sensations of the unique New Zealand scenery and experience, and covers themes such as love and loss, small town life and astronomy in the southern hemisphere.
