"Well-researched and brimming with unique and beautiful illustrations, Fish Facts is essential reading for all budding young ichthyologists, and some older ones too!"
-Dr. Al Dove, senior scientist, Georgia Aquarium

"It is hard to fault the facts presented and some of the material will appeal even to the hardened fish biologist."
-Journal of Fish Biology

"This introduction to the teeming world of fishes should find its way into those piles of books schoolchildren collect for their homework, and into the hands of all the anglers who want to know more about the creatures that provide them with their sport." -New Scientist

Bursting with brilliant illustrations, this collection of trivia about fish provides a fun way for children to dive into the nautical depths. The guide contains information on the various classes, orders, and genera of marine life and includes fascinating facts, such as that domesticated carp may live as long as 250 years and the electric eel of South America can produce up to 650 volts of power.

The illustrator's love of the sea is apparent in these beautifully rendered pages sure to invite wonder and immerse readers in this underwater expedition.
