I always wanted to travel, I wanted to work in a café in Paris. Drink coffee, learn French and eat tasty food. I found myself on the wrong path, or perhaps, I was lost on many wrong paths. I turned to drugs, I drowned in alcohol. But in the end, I was the one who ruined my own life. The loss of my mother left me adrift, unable to navigate the storm of my emotions. But more than that, I lost sight of who I was and what I truly desired. Despite my stumbles, I managed to make it overseas. Life, I've come to realize, is a blend of brutality and beauty. Yet, amidst this chaos, I cling to the hope of finding my way, of rediscovering the person I truly am. It's like I'm always free falling, with no sense of direction or control over my life. The ground beneath me is constantly shifting, and I'm left grasping for something, anything, to hold on to. Jaimee was twelve when she lost her mother. She never learnt how to look after herself properly, instead stumbled through life, hoping to land on her own. But she fell in to drinking, drugs, and abuse. Finally, when the weight of her struggles became unbearable, she made a bold decision to leave her past behind and journey to London.
