In 1967, Wendy Parks is a precocious fourteen-year-old who has just moved from Utah to Southern California. This is the first person story of the adventures and discoveries of her sixteenth year. She befriends the local high school hippie tribe but also finds her own family in the process. Wendy speaks openly and honestly and finds her voice and her confidence through her trials. Mildly suggestive, but hardly offensive.
