All the exercises come with detailed solutions (presented in a way that does not exempt the student from actually doing the homework). The book differs from a previous edition ("Modulation in classical music for young musicians") in the addition of a chapter on string quartets by Haydn and Mozart. The book uses the Do, Re, Mi, ... notation. (An identical book using the A, B, C, ... notation is also available.)
