Nano-forensics is a completely new area of forensic science associated with the applications of nanotechnology in crimes, crime scene and terrorist activity investigations by determining the presence of explosives, biological agents and trace evidences etc. Terrorist¿s activities, like drug trafficking eco-crimes, high profile crimes, robbery hit and run cases, building collapse, petroleum products adulteration are some of the latest forms of crimes. In many cases, forensic evidence is a key to obtain a conviction and often only very small quantities of forensic material are found on a suspect. Nanotechnology plays an important role in addressing current concerns by providing trace evidence analysis.
