Chapter three introduces the basic theory upon which the models were designed and simulated. Chapter four describes the implementation of the nonlinear viscous damping characteristic using the MR damper employing semi-active vibration isolation methods. Chapter five investigates and discusses the results obtained. Chapter six concludes and recommends further studies on the topic using more complex nonlinear viscous damping characteristics.
