He routinely flew from Miami to the Bahamas to scout out real estate acquisitions for Paul's brokerage. It was on one of these trips that he was lured into the world of drug smuggling. This was the rush he wanted-the thrill of not getting caught, outwitting customs, cartel feuds. And the money! He knew of the dangers involved, so he made a plan to earn a certain amount and then get out. He learned the hard way that cartels don't work like that.
