Of course, Jon sent her his videos of stolen items loaded into people's cars. He was there when the police finally raided the stores.
A woman who walked her dog along the factory boundary every day was probably harmless. But Jon took a video of her anyway. He didn't tell anyone about that till it was almost too late. And the flower arrangers almost succeeded.
Pete was trying to write a story that seemed too far-fetched to be true. Estate Agents were threatening householders on behalf of the Chinese Government.
But then Pete made friends with a Cathedral verger. He helped her clear out a dead school teacher's house. What he and Jon found there was even stranger.
Marandellas interviewed witnesses for all the world's media. And she found the truth before her mother knew in The Ministry of Defence.
Finally, there was the Salisbury Sleeper himself.
