The author develops the different kinds of heuristics and meta-heuristic to solve the scheduling problems with multi-attribute setup times. All the experimental results show that the proposed heuristics can outperform the current scheduling method used by the case plants with a significant improvement. This indicates that the proposed scheduling methods in this book are valuable in practical applications.
