The stories contain elements of both science fiction and fantasy but defy genres and exist in their own, unique space. Longer than most short fiction, each tale takes the time to examine its subject and take it to its narrative conclusion. The stories have resonance. They leave an echo in the mind that lasts long after the story ends. After many years in the creative and film industries, Minchin settled in Cornwall and started writing the short fiction that became SILVERBACK, his first collection published in 2019. With VISCERA, Minchin continues to explore his love for the genre.
