While attending her new Bible study group, Jean begs for help with her son, Aaron, who is haunted by dark things. As the room grows still, her words hang heavily in the air. Sadly, Jean has learned that people do not like to believe that darkness has the power to swallow its victims. Unfortunately, this is their life and, as a result, she and Aaron walk a silent, lonely road together. As Jean and Aaron each share candid insights into their harrowing journey through hell, he reveals that despite the pastor’s fervent prayers, the multiple demons who talk to him make it clear they are not leaving yet. Meanwhile, Jean shares glimpses into what it is like to witness the demonic retaliations that occur after prayer interventions, and often continue unabated for several weeks or months, depending on the severity and anger of the demons and their reactions.
