About the Author Paul Keene writes character driven fiction that offers hope, humor and a touch of the supernatural. The American writer was influenced by satirical humor of authors Herman Wouk and Max Shulman.  He grew up in small rural communities of Oregon and Idaho that border the Snake River. This instilled a love for nature and animals. The former teacher lives close to the Swan Falls Bird Refuge in Idaho and writes with three pugs and a labradoodle nearby.
